Information for parents

Welcome to Y4S.

We have renamed the class as Mrs Hayes is at home looking after her baby! Mr Strand and Mrs Sweeney are now teaching the class and we have enjoyed getting to know the children during term 4.

We are enjoying terms 5 and 6; our topic is Safari and we are learning all about African animals, their habitats and places to visit on safari. We might even squeeze in some work linked to the World Cup! We have also been learning all about microorganisms in Science. Have a look at the photographs of the mould investigation we carried out recently.

On this page you will find lots of general information about us and what we are doing.  We will also endeavour to upload class letters to this page.

Some general information:

PE is on Monday and Friday but the children should have their kit in every day, just in case.

Homework is sent home on a Thursday and should be in be the following Tuesday.

Please hear your child read as often as possible and write some brief notes in their contact book.  If they are on the Oxford Reading Tree scheme then their book is changed for them when they ask. All other children are expected to change their book when needed.

If you have any queries, please do pop in to see us.
